Governor tours Wright Tech to highlight technical schools

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont visited Wright Tech to listen to students and highlight the program offerings in the technical high school system.

Lamont was joined by a student press core from the Digital Media trade and dignitaries from Hartford, CT where CTECS is headquartered. They included Executive Director Alice Pritchard, Superintendent Michael Crocco, and Communications Director Kerry Markey.

Lamont participated in a cybersecurity activity in the Information Technology trade before joining students in the Electrical trade room. A roundtable discussion with student representatives from all 9 of the Wright Tech trades was held with the governor where students had an opportunity to share thoughts about ways to improve their school and learning experience.
