Reflections capture feelings of confusion, fear, and loss
On the 23rd anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attack on the United States, teachers at Wright Tech were asked to reflect on their remembrances of the day. Some were in school at the time; others were teachers hiding the unfolding event from young eyes. Some had not found their way to Wright Tech, but shared in the collective memory of the Twin Towers in New York City collapsing, the Pentagon being struck, and the story of a group of passengers on a hijacked airplane who took it back and forcibly crashed it. The sacrifice of those passengers saved the country from another potential strike on Washington D.C.
