Bellevue makes All-Conference for Cross Country
Athletic Director Robert Kucharski has a lot to be proud of this sports season.
In his round-up of the Fall Sports season, Kucharski shared the battles, play-off runs, and strong finishes for the Cross Country, Volleyball, and Soccer teams. On Thursday, October 16, 2025, seniors from each of the sports will celebrated prior to the Volleyball game against Bassick.
Cross Country (XC) ran at championships on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 with Coaches John Hemenway and Michael Nuzzolilo. Senior Euvecher Bellevue came in 9th out of a field of 43 female athletes; Olivia Nazaario finished 29th and Harper Deenihan 30th. Among the boys, Keir Ryan placed in the top third of the 130 runners, placing 37th. The rest of the team finished as follows: Phillip Dobbins (57th), Liam Edwards (71st), Xavier Perry (85th), Julian Perez (90th), Kalib Keeler (95th), Dynell Hull (111th), John Young (112th), Xavier Niquez (116th), and Siddhartha Gautam (118th).
“Soccer has had their best season since our re-open. Their success has launched them into play-off mode,” said Kucharski.
The soccer team will play in the CTC play-offs on Friday, October 17, 2025 against Kaynor Technical H.S. If they win, they will continue on to try and win a CTC championship. Soccer will also have a chance to play in the CIAC state playoffs in the coming weeks.
Volleyball has had another successful season and will be returning to the CIAC state play-offs, Kucharski said.
“This great success has also helped them gain entry into the CTC play-off bracket as well,” he added. Play-in games are slated for the week of October 20, 2025.
