IT students support lively competition
More than 40 students from five schools competed in a Hackathon organized by the IT trade.
The middle-school-aged students had to navigate three puzzle mazes with their Sphero robot as part of a 4-person team. Wright Tech students served as tech support to the students who came from Scofield Middle School, Stamford Charter School of Excellence, Dolan Middle School, Catholic Academy of Stamford, Cloonan Middle School, and Strawberry Hill School. The purpose of the event was to immerse students in technology and coding in a fun, interactive way, said Subha Pandalai.
“We believe this event is a great way to inspire and motivate middle schoolers to pursue careers in technology while providing them the tools and skills to succeed in the digital age,” said Pandalai.
